We love cheerleading! Since it’s that wonderful time of year we all list what we’re thankful for, we’ve been thinking about what makes being a cheerleader so great. So as you think about what you’re thankful for during the holiday season, consult our list of reasons to be thankful for cheer and add your own in the comments! Sure, you work insanely hard, your whole life revolves around cheer, and 100 percent of the time you are sore, either from a killer workout or a stunt gone awry…but you’re having the time of your life. They say you become like the people you spend most of your time with, and we hope that’s true because who better to be like than your fun, tough, talented, and loyal teammates who have become your family? You are never bored because there’s always something new and fun to learn. (Source: Giphy.com) Trying new things gives you confidence. Knowing from experience you can do difficult things gives you an edge in life. It starts out with cheerleading, but carries over into other areas of your life. There is no greater happiness than making other people happy, and no better sense of purpose and satisfaction than making a difference. As a cheerleader, you get to do that a lot.
