Now, Chasse is not only partnering with top cheerleaders as brand sponsors, they’re also awarding scholarships to the future Maddie Gardners and Elle Smiths – many of whom were Cheer Channel’s 2013 Superstars of All Stars and runners up. You heard the news about the scholarship program, now you can meet the individual cheerleaders. Below is the press release all about Taylor Minchew: CHEERLEADING APPAREL COMPANY CHASSE AWARDS ALL STAR CHEERLEADER TAYLOR MINCHEW WITH COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP As a 2013 “Superstar of the All-Stars,” Taylor Minchew will receive funding for her continued education as a result of the new Cheer Channel and Chasse partnership. Cheer Channel has partnered with Chasse to enhance its widely popular “Superstars of the All-Stars” program, and provide cheerleaders like Taylor Minchew with additional opportunities for her future, including a scholarship award. 2013 marks the second year for Cheer Channel’s Superstars of All-Stars program. Minchew is one of the 10 Superstars, following in the footsteps of internationally recognized cheerleader Maddie Gardner, who was one of the 2012 Superstars. Each year, Cheer Channel Inc. handpicks its Superstars of All-Stars. Based on their ability to meet a very high set of standards both as an athlete and a person, the cheerleaders that are chosen represent the cream of the crop in the spirit industry. The standards the Superstars must meet include talent, commitment, dedication, physical skill, leadership, fan support, personality, community involvement, academic achievements, social skills, and respect of teammates and coaches. “It is with great pride that we select these young women and men who best represent the All-Star cheerleading industry as role models and athletes, and emphasize the meaning of ‘spirit’ in our industry,” said Cindy Villarreal, Cheer Channel CEO. Minchew is a flyer for Cheer Extreme Senior Elite. She began cheerleading when she was seven years old at Lake Mary All Stars in Florida and then moved to Cheer Extreme in North Carolina, where she has been cheering for the past six years. She is a 2012 and 2013 World Champion, 2011 Worlds Silver Medalist, 2013 Majors Silver Medalist, three-time NCA National Champion, five-time Cheersport National Champion, and The Cheer Leader Magazine’s “Rising Star” and contributor. Minchew is a sophomore at Ledford High school and is on the varsity cheer squad. One of her favorite ways to condition is to run three to five miles a day. “Taylor is an exciting performer, and having her participate in the Superstars of the All-Stars program is a great opportunity to showcase that with hard work, you can be a champion and a role model,” said Brita Bolane, Director of Brand Development for Chasse. “We’re proud to support her future, and to partner with Cheer Channel to spread the word about Chasse to current and aspiring cheerleaders,” added Bolane.
