How long does it take your team to get ready for a performance? That’s what we asked our readers last month, and the results are in! Check out all the results, which were interesting, to say the least. While we weren’t surprised to see that most cheerleaders take more than 30 minutes to get ready, we were shocked to see that cheerleaders were more likely to spend more than FIVE hours getting ready, as opposed to 3-4 hours. Not surprising was that most cheerleaders take between one and two hours to get ready. The second most popular option was two to three hours. Cheerleading hair and makeup isn’t easy. As a performer, you apply more makeup than you normally would to make sure it shows up and so the audience and judges can see it from afar. And as we all know, maintaining a high enough poof isn’t simple either. It requires a lot of hairspray and a lot of work! Don’t forget the numerous bobby pins and styling tools that are also used. However, youth squads generally wear less makeup and less intricate hairstyles. These are the teams that most likely only spend around 30 minutes to get ready. The more competitive the squad, like All Stars, the longer it takes to get ready. Take a look at the results below and then comment below and share how long it takes you to get ready. And don’t forget to check out our other poll results to see what other cheerleaders have to say about the hottest trends and topics!
