The 5 People You Secretly Missed During Your Summer Break

Some people don’t look forward to returning to school in the fall, but there really are a lot of things to love about hitting the books! One of those things is the people you’ll get to see. After a couple months of summer, you’ll be ready to see some faces other than those of your siblings. We aren’t just talking about the fact that you’ll be able to see your best friends every day, either. These are the five people you may not realize that you missed over the summer: The know it all. Is it a little bit annoying? Yes. We are all for participating in class and showing off your smarts, but why would someone feel the need to raise her/his hand and answer every. single. question? Still, the fact that she/he does means your teacher’s eyes are less likely to land on you in the rare event that you haven’t been paying as close of attention as one would hope. Deep down, you love this student for taking the heat off you and the rest of the class. Thanks to her/him, you get to just sit back, relax, and learn without the pressure of being put on the spot. Plus, if you do feel like answering a question, your teacher is always eager to call on a new person. The class clown. We all need a good laugh now and then. The student who breaks up loooong classes with a witty comment or whispered joke is a hero. The school supply collector. Why does she/he have so many pencils? How are they always so sharp? When do we even use paper clips? Is your own personal stapler really necessary? Who knows. But you can always count on her/him to have an extra of anything you forgot‚ or can’t find in the mess that is your backpack. (Hey, she/he is the overly organized one. Not your thing). The new kid. The possibilities are endless. You could be sitting by the person who will be your best friend for life within a couple weeks or the new member of your championship cheer squad! (Just don’t scare her/him away by being overly eager.) Your teammates. Duh! This one is no secret‚ you knew all along you missed seeing them every day. But, when you get back to school and actually do see them before, during, and after classes, you remember just how much fun you have together!
