Sideline season is in full swing, and there are so many things to love about this time of year. You have fun practices, exciting games, and lots of opportunities to spread school spirit at pep rallies and Homecoming events. You even get to finally perform that halftime routine you’ve been working so hard on.

Since there are so many wonderful things about this time of year for a cheerleader, we wanted to know what you love most. Our October poll asked what your favorite part of sideline cheer is.

We asked, you voted, and the results are in!

This one was really close! Most of you like cheering at football games the best. With the awesome uniforms, loud crowds, exciting games, longstanding rivalries, and team pride, it’s easy to see why you love it so much! Cheerleaders live for the big games and great moments under those Friday night lights.

A lot of you said your favorite part of sideline season is performing at halftime. This is what you’ve been waiting months for! Finally, it’s your time to shine and show everyone what you can do.

Homecoming and pep rallies came in a close third. From decorating hallways to planning cheers and spirit events, there’s never a dull moment during the sideline season.

A few of you prefer cheering at basketball games. The best part of basketball games is that you’re inside, so you aren’t usually too hot or too cold, and being indoors really lets the noise echo. This means you can get your crowd really loud!

See the full results below and be sure to check back next month to vote in our November poll.

Were you surprised by the results? Do you have a favorite part of sideline cheer that didn’t make the list? Let us know in the comments!
