With tryouts happening soon, a lot of you are about to become cheerleaders for the first time. This is an exciting moment in your life, and nothing will be the same from here on out because once a cheerleader, always a cheerleader! Being a cheerleader comes with a lot of responsibilities, but you will learn the ropes and feel like a veteran cheerleader before you know it. Here are 11 things you learn once you become a cheerleader:

  1. You can never have enough bobby pins. You are a responsible person, so you will bring plenty of bobby pins. However, when you need them, they will have disappeared. They have to be in your cheer bag somewhere, but they aren't. They are now in the magical land of stray socks, unicorns, and pencils you let classmates "borrow," so you definitely need more.

  1. Or Soffe® shorts. You need one for each day, mood, weather possibility, cheer tank, etc. Just keep 'em coming.

  1. Or hair bows. Similar to your cheer shorts situation, you will need a bow to match every nail polish color you own, all your cheer socks, your emotions for the day, and your Soffe shorts, obviously.
